A Brief Overview

The Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Project Management Officer (PMO) is a key executive leader responsible for driving the execution of the organization's most critical strategic programs and initiatives. This role oversees the enterprise-wide project management office, ensuring alignment between corporate strategy and program delivery, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

What you will do

• Strategic Initiatives Leadership

• Partner with C-level executives to identify, prioritize, and lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.

• Translate business strategy into actionable programs with measurable outcomes.

• Monitor the strategic initiative portfolio, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Lead cross-functional teams to drive change, resolve challenges, and deliver impact.

• Project Management Office (PMO) Oversight

• Lead the enterprise PMO team, overseeing project governance, standards, tools, and methodologies.

• Establish and enforce best practices for project delivery and portfolio management.

• Develop and manage project reporting frameworks, dashboards, and executive briefings.

• Ensure resource allocation is optimized, and risk mitigation strategies are in place.

• Organizational Alignment & Change Management

• Drive alignment of strategic goals across departments and functional teams.

• Champion change management practices to support transformation initiatives.

• Foster a collaborative environment that accelerates decision-making and accountability.

• Performance Measurement & Reporting

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to initiative success and organizational progress.

• Provide regular updates to executive leadership and the board on initiative status and risks.

• Use data-driven insights to refine strategy execution and continuously improve outcomes.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience.

• 5+ years leading strategic initiatives or PMO at the enterprise level.

• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs in a matrixed environment.

Skills and Abilities

• Strategic thinking and ability to connect long-term vision with practical execution.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking and business analytics.

• Deep knowledge of project/program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

Licenses and Certifications

• PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
