The US LBM M&A Analyst will assist in managing the acquisition pipeline. This includes identifying, interacting with, evaluating, and summarizing the details of acquisition targets. A successful M&A Analyst will have strong analytical skills, market knowledge, good business understanding, problem-solving skills, and business intuition.

This is a remote role, and the preferred candidate will be located in the DFW area and will have the ability to attend monthly meetings in the area.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in managing the acquisition pipeline. This includes identifying, interacting with, evaluating, and summarizing the details of acquisition targets.

  • Compile and organize data that will be used to construct board-level presentations. This includes but is not limited to data analytics, financial forecasts, and key business information needed to make decisions.

  • Assist in managing various files, due diligence materials, and related deal files.

  • Assist in executing NDAs to obtain confidential information from target Sellers.

  • Assist in managing various due diligence efforts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or related field.

  • MBA Preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience preferred.

  • Financial background required (Accounting, FP&A, P&L Management, Valuation, etc.).

  • Experience in industrial distribution, construction, real estate, or M&A is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be a self-starter, always looking to improve our process and advance.

  • Must have strong financial and modeling skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and sales abilities.

  • Ability to travel to meet potential targets (less than 10% of the time).
