A Brief Overview
The US LBM Director of Application Administration oversees a team of application managers and engineers. The team is responsible for managing and maintaining the configuration, performance, stability, and updates of US LBM's enterprise applications. Systems include ERPs, Manufacturing systems, FinTech, Web and Mobile applications, Logistics planning solutions, and application databases. The Director will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure our enterprise applications meet end user needs. The Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining application administration roadmaps that ensure the team's services align with company strategy and needs. This role ensures optimal performance and reliability ensuring great end user experiences.

What you will do

  • Lead and manage the Enterprise Application Administration team.

  • Oversee application configuration, ensuring adherence to industry and the company’s change management standards.

  • Implement, monitor, and report performance metrics for enterprise applications. Meet with technology and business stakeholders to share results, collect feedback, and adjust.

  • Develop, implement, and document policies for system administration and support.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.

  • Provide guidance and support for application updates and new implementations.

  • Develop training programs and documentation for system administrators and end-users.

  • Coordinate with architects to develop architectural strategies for the creation, deployment, integration, and maintenance of our enterprise applications.

  • Work with business leaders to understand corporate needs and deliver related services.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to application administration teams.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.

  • Support systems analysis and recommend solutions to improve workflows.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of US LBM's full suite of enterprise applications, their capabilities, and our standard business processes (SOPs).

  • Maintain a complete library of application administration roadmaps and use them to update key stakeholders.

  • Perform all required tasks in support of department goals and objectives.

  • Enhance personal development by participating and attending relevant training opportunities and forums.

  • Comply with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is optional based on experience.

Experience Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in IT system administration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in a large-scale, complex IT environment.

  • Experience supporting B2B organizations preferred.

  • Extensive experience with enterprise application systems (e.g., ERP, Finance and Accounting systems).

Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise applications and services.

  • Strong understanding of system architecture, integration, and performance tuning.

  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of system administrators.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of security standards and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to independently set priorities based on project and business needs.

Travel Requirements

  • 10-20% Travel.
