A Brief Overview
The US LBM Engineer – Cloud is a senior technologist that is responsible for providing advanced Azure support for US LBM's 650+ server environment. This person will have key Azure certifications and extensive operational experience managing servers and resources in a growing Azure environment. This will include designing, implementing, migrating, monitoring, and proactively managing cloud infrastructure solutions.

Project Responsibilities
-
Migrate on-premises servers, files, databases, and applications to Azure cloud environment.

Participate in environment assessments for acquisition related activities.
-
Strategize with project teams, project managers, and various stakeholders for seamless technology integrations.
-
Automate and streamline Azure resource provisioning and management with PowerShell, ARM, Ansible, and Terraform.
-
Plan, implement, and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions including VMs, storage, AVD, App Services, Azure SQL, Recovery Services, and Logic Apps.

Operational Responsibilities
-
Ensure system stability by providing tier 2 / 3 support for cloud infrastructure and applications.

Implement, monitor and maintain Azure network services such as VNETs, NSGs, VNGs, Load Balancer, and ExpressRoute.

Maintain identity integration with Azure Entra ID, Enterprise Apps, Management Groups, Subscriptions, MFA, SSO, and PIM.

Monitor cloud infrastructure and optimize for costs efficiency and improved performance.

Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, disaster recovery and procedures.

Support 2000+ employees accessing Azure Virtual Desktop VDI environment using various tools, primarily Nerdio.

Comply will all policies and standards.

Participate in on call rotation with other Azure engineers.

Adheres to company’s commitment to workplace safety.

Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Education Qualifications
-
Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
Experience Qualifications
-
5+ years of Azure experience in a large Azure environment.
-
Strong knowledge of Azure IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS offerings.
-
Windows and Linux administration experience.
-
Foundational understanding of Azure networking concepts (VNETs, NSGs, public IPs, and WAN deployment topologies).
-
Familiarity with Azure Site Recovery and highly available multi-region environments.
Skills and Abilities
-
Deep understanding of current Azure offerings required.
-
Experience in cloud database services (Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, etc.) required.
-
Experience managing Entra ID, Active Directory required.
-
Experience managing large-scale Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments preferred.

Strong networking knowledge (VNETs, firewalls, NVAs, Express Route, UDRs, NSGs, and Virtual WAN/SDWAN technologies) preferred.

Familiarity with DevOps related concepts on Azure – Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, ARM templates preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong attention to detail.
Licenses and Certifications

AZ-104 Certification required.

AZ-140 Certification preferred.
