A Brief Overview
The US LBM Manager – Cloud is a pivotal position in US LBM that requires extensive expertise and effective leadership to ensure the seamless, secure, and efficient operation of US LBM's Azure environment. This person will have broad experience delivering Azure cloud services to a large user base, with extensive exposure for overseeing service delivery, managing client relationships, and collaborating with cross functional teams to meet and exceed client expectations.
What you will do

Lead and mentor a team of talented Azure Engineers.

Guide engineers in monitoring, patching, disaster recovery, and overall service delivery.

Support and coach the cloud team on new concepts, procedures, and process improvement.

Ensure team is focused on delivering exceptional user experiences through effective incident management processes.

Drive initiatives to automate workflows, adopt cutting-edge technologies, and enhance system resilience.

Foster a culture of proactive optimization to manage costs, maximize uptime, and provide great customer experiences.

Analyze performance metrics, troubleshoot issues with surgical precision, and ensure data integrity at every turn.

Monitor and manage backups and disaster recovery preparedness including documentation, processes, and tools.

Implement and enforce robust security policies and procedures to safeguard our critical IT infrastructure.

Provide oversight and reporting for project related work, coordinating resources to meet stakeholder demands.

Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to align cloud operations with business goals and growth plans.

Champion innovative solutions, embrace automation, and contribute to shaping the future of our cloud ecosystems.
Education Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
Experience Qualifications
-
5+ years of in-depth experience managing an Azure cloud environment.
-
Experience with multiple direct reports.
-
Strong knowledge of Azure IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS offerings.
-
Experience planning for business continuity and disaster recovery in hybrid and cloud environments.
Skills and Abilities
-
Deep understanding of current Azure offerings: VMs, storage, networking, IAM, ASR, AVD, and other components required.

Extensive and effective leadership skills with proven ability to manage a team, MSPs and Vendors required.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong attention to detail required.

Project-management expertise and familiarity with PM methodologies (e.g., Agile) required.

Experience developing automation within Azure to reduce spend and increase efficiencies required.

Familiarity with DevOps related concepts on Azure – Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, ARM templates preferred.

Familiarity with Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong attention to detail.
Licenses and Certifications

AZ-104 certification required.

Azure related certifications preferred (AZ-140, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500, AZ-700)

ITIL v2 Foundation preferred.

PMP preferred.
