A Brief Overview
As part of the Internal Audit and Controls Team, the IT Senior Auditor will design, plan, and implement the company's IT audit programs, establish and maintain effective relationships with middle and senior level IT Management across the company, and provide value added services including producing effective reports which successfully influence executive management to manage risk prudently within the company's risk appetite. The skills necessary to succeed in this role include being a team player, strong multi-tasking and organization skills, strong understanding of internal controls, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate and partner with a diverse group of stakeholders while producing high-quality deliverables.
What you will do
- Assist with conducting an IT risk assessment and preparing IT audit strategy and annual audit plan.
- Create risk and control matrices (RCM’s) and devise test procedures to evaluate controls.
- Conduct audits of operating systems, database systems and application systems, completing audits in a timely manner, and ensuring deliverables are within budget.
- Prepare audit reports and discuss results with the auditee and IT Manager.
- Follow up on audit findings and remediation plans, recommend appropriate corrective actions, and perform retesting as required.
- Provide IT audit and compliance support on operational and financial audit engagements and other advisory projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively with IT teams and IT liaisons where applicable to manage expectations and ensure cooperation to achieve objectives.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Experience Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of work experience in the IT Audit Technology space required.
- Big 4 Public Accounting experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- IT knowledge: Strong knowledge of IT related technical guidance standards (ITIL, COSO, COBIT etc.) including thorough knowledge of auditing standards, technology/security focused regulations, IT general controls and application controls.
- Analytical mindset: Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make recommendations or decisions.
- Attention to detail: High quality work product with all “i’s” dotted and “t’s” crossed.
- Collaboration: Develop and maintain cross-functional business partnership with professionalism.
- Communication skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. Knows how to tailor a message based on audience.
- Project management: Ability to multi-task with a demonstrated ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- MS Office experience required.
- Experience with data analytic tools e.g., IDEA, flowcharting tools e.g., Visio, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools e.g., AuditBoard a plus.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred.
Travel Requirements
- 20% Travel, overnight as needed.
