A Brief Overview
The US LBM Systems Trainer is responsible for all phases of the learning design and delivery process for technical systems related training; analyzes needs, designs, delivers, and implements learning solutions, and then evaluates the effectiveness of the learning solutions. This position also assists with training coordination and technical writing of system-related documentation. This position will report to the Manager of Systems Training.
What you will do
- Implementation – Ability to guide users onto our ERP, financial and other internal systems and provide effective training to meet clear goals.
- Content Creation – Create easy to understand training materials and video content, maintain all documentation and updated as needed.
- Training & Presenting – Learn and apply expert knowledge of our internal systems to effectively train users in a easy to understand format non-technical form factor. Coordinate with product owners for more advanced training. Lead one-on-one administrator training, and group training for daily users.
- Standard Operating Procedure Creation – Create clear and easy guides for clients and internal users, maintain documentation, and update as needed.
- Subject Matter Expert – Responsible for any internal or external questions on the systems, how to use it, and basic troubleshooting. Work with other technical experts to ensure questions are resolved in timely manner.
- Adheres to Company’s commitment to workplace safety.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Education or a related field is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of training experience in a sales or IT environment.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems, such as BisTrack, SAP or Catalyst. Preferred
- Familiarity with Sales Operations in a wholesale distribution organization.
- Certified Technical Writer, or related work experience
- Operations or Management experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities
- Comfortable with public speaking in settings of 35+ attendees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.
- Experience working within a Learning Management System; Workday Learning preferred.
- Familiarity with Instructional Design concepts.
- Working knowledge in Camtasia and Adobe Creative Cloud or related applications.
- Video and Audio editing experience preferred.
- Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Travel Requirements
- Will travel 50% of the time. Access to a major airport required. Overnight travel expected.
